New Canaan Museum's Builder's Challenge

September 3rd-October 28th

Do you keep finding Legos underfoot? Back for its fourth year, the New Canaan Museum’s Builder’s Challenge is asking all budding architects, engineers and builders to recreate their favorite real or imagined New Canaan spot in interlocking blocks (such as Lego or MegaBloks bricks). Kids’ creations will be displayed in local store windows throughout the month of October to celebrate New Canaan’s October4Design celebrating architecture, art, community and design. Starting September 3, come to the New Canaan Museum to sign up and receive a free baseplate to get you started – one per family please! Fall Fun at Mather Homestead

October 10th & October 25th

Join us on October 10th for “Night at the Museum…Escape the Tories!". Learn about Revolutionary War history at Mather Homestead and then explore the property with headlamps for a scavenger hunt! Tickets available at: Tories

October 25th from 11AM-2PM is Mather Homestead's annual Fall Festival! Our largest event of the year features pony rides, a petting zoo, hay rides, fire truck visit and tours of the historic house. Live bluegrass music, face painting, pumpkins and crafts too! Tickets: Harvest Fest

Support NCHS Senior Internship Program: Host an Intern or Share a Lead!

Sept. 24th-Nov. 3rd

 The NCHS Senior Internship Program is a valuable opportunity that connects academic learning with real-world experience. This program allows students to develop essential skills, explore career paths, and build professional networks. We are reaching out to our NCHS families and community members to assist us in connecting with potential host sites, including your own. We’re particularly looking to increase opportunities in areas of strong interest, including computer science, finance, healthcare sciences, and law.
